What is the ideal height of an office desk?

I understand this varies on many factors, but how high would a standard office desk be? Thanks.

1. Depends on the height of the person using it but 3.5 foot?
2. An ideal office desk should be 3' high.
3. It should be in the region of 700mm. (2'3" - 2'4") The previous heights already mentioned would be fine if you had a hydraulic system rigged up to your chair to elevate you to reach the desk top. Providing you're not scared of heights of course?? Hope I've been of assistance......;-)
