Desk Shell

What from my desk drawer can I use to crack pistachio shells?

I can't seem to crack them with my fingers.......not strong enough I guess. I tried pinching them with a staple puller......didn't work. I tried hitting them with the end of my pen........no luck. Tried prying them with a screw driver.........phillips head no good! I have a nutcracker but it's in the kitchen and I'm not. Please HELP! I'm really hungry here.

3. If the nut is even partially opened, I use another empty shell to pry it open. You can also try scissors to pry it open. I don't think a nutcracker would work well as the pistachio is so small.

5. Make use of the desk drawer itself! Simply place the nut on the edge of the drawer, quickly close it, and voila, one cracked nut.
