Desk Shell

leaving laptops without casing or shell for long periods of time?

I have an Apple iBook G4 that i recently stripped of it's casing, with all hardware exposed. It's neatly sitting on my portable desk and on a blanket. Is it okay to leave a notebook pc, mac, or laptop like this for long periods of time, say, 4 to 6 months?

1. dont put it on a blanket take it off cause it might short your hardware but if you put it on plain wood or plastic it should be ok. but i suggest you get anti static bags and put them in because it could get dust and its annoying to get out =)
